Welcome to the website of Kathy Karas Artist ... I live on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia, with my husband Manny – my biggest fan and valued helper, especially with the teddy bear fairs that I have attended over the past ten years in Sydney, and sometimes interstate.

Most of my days I can be found painting in my workroom at the bottom of my pretty garden with "Monty" – our Cavalier Spaniel – who also helps out

as companion, art critic, quality control officer and, sometimes model!

Thank you for your interest in my paintings. I have put together on this website a selection of my work so that you can see some of my past and present offerings. Most of these have already been sold, but I

am happy to paint something similar (all of my paintings are originals and one offs), in either an antique frame or on a lovely, old hatbox case, or any special request.

As I mostly work on antiques and old wares, prices vary according to what is available. I am continually on the look-out for nice, old pieces to paint, and I am quite different to most other artists in that I like to find the frame or whatever, then be inspired by the piece to do the painting.
